Darrel Nelson is a greeter at The Sun City Elks Lodge 2559 in Sun City, Arizona, seen January 10, 2010. He wears an 80-year-old elk tooth around his neck..Nelson, who is from Dixon, Illinois, has lived in Sun City for 30 years. "It's a real nice place," he said. "A firnedly place with a lot of amenities." In the 30 years since he moved to Sun City the area around it has sprung up. 30 years ago, Bell Road, a major road with restaurants and four lanes, used to be a two lane gravel road in 1980 he said. "we used to sit out here by ourselves and now we're completely surrounded by communities. There's just lots of growth," he said.
